NOVA INTERCULTURAL is a non-profit cultural organization that is looking for people who want to make a difference in other people's lives.   All applicants should have good skills with teens, families, and schools. We need volunteers to support students, families, programs, and other volunteers in a wide variety of ways. From conducting student orientations to making classroom presentations, from problem solving  to arranging social activities, there is truly a place for everyone. Whether you are a parent, a retired person, or a college student - we welcome you to work with us. LOCAL AGENT are independent contractors and therefore responsible for paying all self-employment and income taxes. 

 

The LOCAL AGENT will represent NOVA INTERCULTURAL in agent’s country on an exclusive basis and will be their local representative. Contracts however signed by the agent are not binding to NOVA INTERCULTURAL  unless its management have given their written approval.

 Medical and Travel Insurance are supplied by the LOCAL AGENT.  A commission is also set aside depending on fee.

 The coordinator will not represent other similar companies involved in study exchanges, organizing internships, events etc. unless prior approval has been given by NOVA INTERCULTURAL. The agent will also abstain from providing similar services on his/her own behalf. All intermediation for students and internships is done on behalf of NOVA INTERCULTURAL. who has the full right to ask Students for the agreed full fee.

 The Agent will be remunerated once the full program has been paid.  

 The Local Agent can also act as a Coordinator or Group Leader.

 75 euros will be the AGENT fee for for students registering directly through internet.  Since the agent will still be needed to visit the student and arrange paperwork.

  JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Recruit students for Spain
  • Presentation at schools, cultural organizations, or church group
  • Orientation of appropriate program.
  • Follow up of registration form and admission process.
  • Coordinate group and accompanying monitor
  • Coordinate travel and medical insurance for all of the travellers.
  • Responsible of informing NOVA INTERCULTURAL of any changes or cancellations that may occur.
  • In case of cancellation  150 euros will be deducted from pays  due on commissions for the expenses incurred.

The Volunteers perform various tasks like: recruitment of American students, presentation of program at schools or organizations, interviews prospective host families, orientation of appropriate program.  For your work you will receive free trip and stay in Spain depending on the points accumulated based on tasks goals achieved.  Depending on your interest you can become a Regional or State Coordinator with important income oportunities. (for every person you get to sign-up in one of our program you will get one week homestay in Spain)

You will be an ambassador of international friendship, the person your students will look up to for guidance when they arrive and throughout the year.  You will forging lifelong friendships with young people.

 Positions are available in the following areas:

 Accompanying Teacher or Youth Monitor (must speak Spanish)

Travel free to Spain for the time span of the group through our Immersion Program. You will be responsible for recruiting at least 8 participants. During your excursion, you will travel to your chosen destination, participate in organized trips and classroom activities, and live with a host family.   You will be responsible of the group during their plane trip from the departure at the country of origen to the arrival in Spain and the return home.  (additional allowance will be giving for personal expense during your stay in Spain)

 

 

 

 Coordinator and Group Leader    

You will organize and implement a program for a group of foreign students for 3-4 weeks.

Teacher Coordinators are independent contractors and therefore responsible for paying all self-employment and income taxes.   Based on your budget we will stablish an international price were you will receive a % of all the exchange students coming to Spain all the exchange students travelling to your country.

Job Description

PROGRAM FOR YOUR COUNTRY

  • Set up an itinerary for the group.
  • Facilitate Host Family Orientation, Welcome Party, and Goodbye Party.
  • Take students on trips (some full day excursions will be on a chartered bus)
  • Conduct afternoon activities as the program contracted requires. 
  • Submit all receipts and complete the budget form. Budget money is given based on the size and duration of the group and is used to cover expenses prior and during the homestay.
  • Recruit and interview host families.  The families provide room and board and family support for the student while they are here. (receive a % on home fees)  Homes receive $100 week for expenses the could incur during the student.
  • Locate a study center (classroom).  $100 for every school group.
  • Meet students at the airport on arrival and departure. ($25 per student)
  • (Optional) If you have experience as an educator or youth monitor you will responsible of teaching  conversational English to the group.  A teaching credential is not required, (paid on  hourly rate) however you should have some experience working with teens.
